- Boulder, CO -- July 15, 1991 -- Compatible Systems today announced the
- availability of software drivers for its Ethernet adapter products which
- provide full compatibility with System 7.0 for Apple's line of Macintosh
- computers.

- "Our beta tests on the new drivers went very smoothly," said Larry Tepper,
- Director of Software Engineering at Compatible. "In fact, we had less trouble
- with System 7 than we did with several of the later versions of System 6."

- The company manufactures a full line of Ethernet adapters for the Macintosh,
- including Ether2, a NuBus internal adapter for the Macintosh II family,
- Ether•DS, a Direct Slot internal adapter for the Macintosh SE/30 and IIsi, and
- Ether+, an external SCSI adapter which is compatible with all SCSI-equipped
- Macintoshes.
